Guidelines for Accepting Clothing and Accessories
1. TICKETS can be purchased on Eventbrite for $15.00.
2. CONTRIBUTIONS TO BE PROUD OF: You may contribute up to 10 pre-owned or ‘new with tag’ (you know you have them) items. We will accept all genders and all sizes. Clothes must be in wearable condition; meaning clean, with no rips, stains or holes. Accessories (bags, purses, sunglasses, scarves, belts) are to be usable with no broken clasps or zippers. Damaged clothing or accessories will not be accepted. Please no swimwear or sleepwear.
Intake will take place on:
Saturday, July 12th 10am-12pm
Sunday, July 13th 10am-12pm
Monday, July 14th 5pm-7pm
Tuesday, July 15th 5pm-7pm
LOCATION DROP OFF will be posted to She Shops Swap Instagram @sheshopsswap and emailed with your event ticket. Contributions are only accepted ahead of Swap Day. When you drop off your items, please label your bag with your name and number of items - you will receive your swap tickets at the time of drop off.If you are planning to attend from outside the Niagara region, please contact Vicki Hall (vicki@vickihall.ca) to arrange for possible contribution drop off before event day.
3. ONE FOR ONE: You will receive one ticket for each item you contribute to the swap. Do not loose your tickets - they are your currency on swap night! It’s a good idea to take a photo of your tickets when you receive them.
4. FOLLOW ALONG ON INSTAGRAM: @sheshopsswap will regularly post update and information about the swap. Following, sharing and ‘liking” posts is your opportunity to share your appreciation of pre-loved clothing and accessories.
5. SWAP EVENT DAY: You should arrive early for the best choice. There will be no holds. Each item will ‘cost’ one ticket. Remember you are ‘swapping’ amongst friends in our community, so please be courteous when browsing and don’t hold onto items for consideration too long. Change rooms will not be available so dress appropriately to pop a piece over what you’re wearing to try on.
Don’t forget to BYOB – Bring Your Own Bag.
The swap will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the sound of the bell!
Beer, wine & soft drinks will be available for purchase.
6. SPREAD THE PRE-OWNED LOVE: Clothing and accessories that remain at the end of the Swap Event will be donated to www.newarkneighbours.ca to help keep the garments out of the landfill and provided to those in need.
The fine print:
1.The purchase of a ticket to She Shops Swap acknowledges that photos will be taken at the event and the purchaser gives permission to She Shops Swap/Vicki Hall/Alicia Vizzari to use the images for marketing purposes.
2. Any items donated to She Shops Swap become property of She Shops Swap/Vicki Hall and will be donated to a charity or charities that support women and teenage girls post swap.
3. In support of our mutual commitment to community and in the spirit of swapping, items from She Shops Swap are intended to be selected by you for your own use and enjoyment.
4. Once purchased, tickets to She Shops Swap are non-refundable.
